ABOUT ME

I am a qualified Psychodynamic Psychotherapist with a profound commitment to helping individuals navigate the complexities of their lives. With over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, my practice is anchored in three core values: empathy, curiosity, and non-judgment.

Experience

My experience in mental health started with volunteering and then working for non-profit mental health organisations and the NHS. I have worked with individuals suffering from mental ill health in a variety of roles, from support worker to manager for complex needs and specialist mental health projects. I have worked as a therapist in primary care offering short term interventions and in specialist services which offer long-term in-depth work.I have supported refugee women, long-term homeless people, people who have spent many years in the mental health system, as well as those who, for various reasons, have gone unsupported for many years.

Specialities

I specialise in psychodynamic psychotherapy and offer both long-term and shorter-term therapy to individuals from all walks of life and from anywhere in the world. I have extensive experience in treating depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma. I offer treatment for those who have lost meaning in their lives, feel stuck or experience difficulties in forming or maintaining personal relationships.

Qualifications

I hold a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and an MA in Therapeutic Care for Refugees. I completed my adult psychotherapy training at the internationally renowned Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, where I obtained accreditation as a psychodynamic psychotherapist and specialised in intercultural psychotherapy. Through my work in primary and secondary mental health services in the NHS, I have experience in delivering a variety of short and long term therapeutic interventions tailored to the needs of each person.

I am committed to continuous professional development, which involves staying updated with the latest research, techniques, and approaches in the field of therapy. This allows me to expand my expertise, gain fresh insights, and refine my therapeutic techniques. It ensures that I am equipped with the most effective tools and strategies to address a wide range of concerns.

I am a member of the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and the Tavistock Society of Psychotherapists (TSP). These registrations reflect my dedication to upholding the highest professional standards and abiding by their rigorous code of ethics.

Services

I currently offer therapy in a specialist NHS service and in my private practice. I work online with individuals who are located all over the world and who are seeking long-term, in-depth therapy, as well as those who require shorter-term support. I am committed to providing a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential space where my patients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
